I was born in Unionville and raised in the northeastern part of Putnam County. I spent my school age years attending Putnam County schools as well. I enjoy being outside; hunting, fishing, riding motorcycles and driving around in my side x side. I married my wife Becky in 2010 and we lived in Putnam County until we decided to relocate to Corydon, IA in order to be closer to Becky’s job. I grew up hunting and fishing mostly in northeastern Putnam County but have had the pleasure of doing both all over the county, as well as in several different states. My family has a background in construction and I have experience in the field myself. I am currently employed at Dun-lap Manufacturing and have been for 20 years. I look forward to putting my knowledge of hunting and construction to work in my real estate career to help you find your dream property.

Northwest Missouri has been home to Donnie for most of his life. After attending University of Missouri-Columbia he spent his early years farming and helping with his father’s farm machinery business covering Southern Iowa and Northern Missouri. In the late 1990’s he started and ran a successful hunting outfitting business for 15 years. While outfitting he could see a need for getting his real estate license because many of his hunting clients showed interest in buying northwest Missouri land.
Donnie is one of the early pioneers of selling hunting property. One of his passions is buying a farm and improving the habitat. He can remember back in the day, a rough, brushy timber farm was a beautiful site in his eyes. I would look at a farm to buy and all my dad would say is “how the heck are you going to afford cleaning this up so you can farm it?” Donnie had a different plan! Later in years after dad saw the value of recreation property skyrocket he apologized for not encouraging me to buy more!
Donnie became a licensed realtor in 2000 selling residential and farms for A+ Realty in Maryville, Mo. In 2004 he obtained his Brokers license and started his own company. In 2013 he joined forces with United Country. In 2015 he took full ownership of the Osceola Iowa office. His business is now licensed in Iowa, Missouri, Kansas and Nebraska with agents in each state. “It is our aim to be a full service real estate company. Our association with United Country enables us to sell any kind of real estate on the market. With over 25 Specialty Property Groups and advisory experts for all groups, we are comfortable we can market and sell virtually any type of real estate that there is to offer.”
Donnie's knowledge of residential, recreational, farm land and other lifestyle properties coupled with his experience in the hunting industry gives him a distinct edge in helping rural land owners unite with urban buyers. If you're looking for a hard working person to represent you with your real estate needs, there is no need to look any further!
